Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics

While sensible people the world over wait with growing impatience and dismay for politicians and technocrats to acknowledge, understand or concede that the only sane response to Covid 19 is one that properly respects the free will of the people (notwithstanding the confounding effects of media-driven, weaponized guilt), many leaders at both the local and national level worldwide have taken the opportunity to distinguish themselves in quite different terms, as tin pot tyrants and proponents of audacious overkill.

But perhaps none more so than Premier Dan Andrews in the hapless and utterly corrupt Australian State of Victoria, where CG is based.
Indeed so extreme and so questionable has been the response in that state to the apparent crisis that it might serve admirably here as a case study or paradigm of the hype and hysteria that has attended reports of the outbreak worldwide from the beginning.
Much along the lines of Governor Cuomo in New York, but with even less real justification, Andrews has subjected his constituents to some of the most draconian lockdowns and laws in the world, including mandatory face gags statewide, indoors and out, nightly curfews and limits on how far people can travel from home. In early August he went as far as declaring a "State of Disaster" to great fanfare and little resistance in much of the Australian media.
Needless to say, the fact that laws requiring people to wear face masks and to "socially distance" are dehumanising does not factor in to government calculations.
Yet right up to the beginning of the so-called “second wave” in Victoria, and the implementation of harsh, new restrictions, the number of deaths attributed to Covid 19 were so relatively few Australia-wide that any positive fluctuations in overall death numbers compared to baseline rolling averages of previous years are unlikely to have been in excess of what might be attributed to marginal causes like population growth and population ageing.
In other words they were effectively zero.

Of course, all of the Covid 19 restrictions are being implemented ostensibly for the sake of our health and well-being, but astute observers have noted, with due concern, that a system is now more or less in place whereby the pretext for previously unimaginable tyranny can be conjured up by tin pot despots like Disaster Dan and his cronies at a moment's notice, with any number of so-called "waves" of reported "cases" put down to some conveniently inexplicable blunder, "mystery" outbreak or other mindless controversy, and fuelled by widespread, extensive testing of dubious value or significance, for cases that in the overwhelming majority are either completely asymptomatic or attended by only the mildest of symptoms.
The report here from the ABC (screenshot here in case of modifications or removal) discusses "excess mortality" in Australia for the period up to April this year; excess mortality or “excess deaths” being the measure of difference between the number of deaths in any given period and an average for the same period in previous years. The said report also includes a helpful state by state analysis. Unfortunately it also includes a less helpful statement from an academic, apparently obligatory in much of the mainstream media, attributing the good news inherent in such figures to the wisdom of government policies, though as we shall see below such conclusions are not scientific.
In fact, there are many so-called "experts" contributing presently to the official Covid 19 narrative that are behaving, effectively, like little more than politicians and salesmen in scientists' clothing, but we'll come back to that.
Excess death numbers are important because, if reported honestly, they are a purely objective indication of the effect of an alleged pandemic in terms of fatality. Of course this presupposes that said pandemic is truly the cause of any excess, either directly or indirectly, but in any case a null or near null result can be considered conclusive if no significant decline in concurrent “normal” causes of death can be found. Needless to say, it is not enough simply to assume such an offset as some "experts" of the aforementioned type are inclined to do.
For example, in the UK and most of Europe (a continent with as many sometimes stark differences in government response to Covid 19 as there are nations) excess deaths dropped more or less to zero, more or less uniformly, around May though restrictions continued, while the verdict on the real import, in terms of rational policy, of reported Victorian Covid 19 fatalities in July and August, the period in which the harshest restrictions were implemented there, must necessarily await the release of accurate numbers for total overall deaths in those months.
It is worth noting further that a substantial increase in deaths in the Winter months is to be expected in any given year (by as much as 25%), and that the very old are particularly likely to count among those contributing to the increase.
To put it simply: the only way we can know the true impact of a virus in any given period, at least in terms of fatalities, is to compare the number of deaths in the affected period with an average for the same period in previous years.
The key shortcoming of Covid 19 mortality statistics other than excess death numbers, as well as statistics related to hospitalisation, is that they necessarily involve arbitrary and subjective elements that make them unreliable.
Doctors are told to report Covid 19 as the cause of death in every instance where the virus was found to be present in the decedent, except when death is clearly attributable to unrelated trauma, regardless of pre-death symptomatology and multiple co-morbidities, or even simply on the basis of probability where a test for Covid 19 has not been applied; while hospital or ICU admission is based on largely subjective and even remote assessment and reporting of patient symptomatology.

The problem of course with this kind of arbitrary policy and subjective guesswork is that it is invariably open to psychological and political pressures that don't have anything to do with objective scientific method, which in turn can lead to all kinds of mischief, deliberate or otherwise. Indeed, we have pointed out again and again on this website, in various contexts, the same basic principle and strategy of conflating the subjective and the objective for the purpose of obfuscation and misguidance of populations.
What is important to understand is that while most of the mainstream media was busy bombarding us with alarming reports of Victorian Covid 19 case numbers this Australian Winter, what went conspicuously unreported for the most part is that such numbers are, per se, meaningless, or even contrary in significance to the way they are being characterised, in the absence of real time case rates (to what extent has testing been increased?), corresponding viral load figures (a measure of contagiousness), objective mortality figures (that are not deceptively cumulative) and in general, proper context.

Consider: if governments must err with regards to measures taken against a bio-threat does it automatically follow that it should be on the side of overkill? After all, that side too has its undesirable consequences of death and suffering – consequences that, alas, will be with us long after Covid 19 is gone, and for which there can be no doubt as to cause and effect.
Fortunately, the alternative to overkill is not necessarily to under do it. Much like a target might be hit with just one bullet properly aimed, rather than a hail of bullets in all directions causing much unwanted damage besides, might not our aim be guided better by proper focus and intelligence than by fear and panic and self-serving politicians?
And could it be that the right approach is always one that respects the free will of the people?
For example, governments, businesses and other organisations (such as the indoctrination centres that currently pass for schools) may choose to cancel or advise against the attending of commercial events at which people are likely to gather in large numbers, but to impinge upon people's right to do so off their own bat, for non-commercial purposes, in any number they like, even on their own property, is quite another matter entirely.
Similarly, it is one thing to make face masks available to those who may wish to wear them in certain circumstances, or to make the wearing of them a condition of entry to private property, but to make them a condition of access to essential goods and services, or conversely, to make not wearing them subject to a hefty fine (as is the case in Victoria) must raise important questions in all but the most slavish and servile of minds about how far we are prepared to let big government and big business run our lives.

Furthermore, even if for the sake of argument we accept the official Covid 19 stats at face value, it is by no means apparent that protecting those most vulnerable to the virus need mean forcing anyone to do anything.
At the time of writing, something like 93% of all those who have reportedly died of Covid 19 in Australia were over the age of 70 and retirement, with about 75% of the total residing in government subsidised aged "care" homes mostly in Victoria.
CG touched upon the awful conditions in such facilities five years ago in our article on the psychiatry racket, including the illegal use of dangerous and toxic psychiatric drugs as a means of “cost-effective” behaviour management of some of those unfortunate enough to be housed in them in the US. The drugs, by the way, were touted by drug company representatives as a way of saving on night shift costs and undoubtedly resulted in an untold number of deaths of elderly residents. Eventually pharmaceutical companies in the US were compelled to fork out billions of dollars in out of court settlements related to the matter. Incidentally, these were the same kind of "aged care homes" into which New York Governor Cuomo helped herd 6,000 elderly people (who had tested positive for Covid 19) in March this year. Make of that what you will.
We need not kid ourselves, however, that conditions and standards in Victorian facilities are any better. Indeed, the present writer personally visited a number of soulless prisons passing for aged care homes in Victoria, at around the time of writing the aforementioned article, speaking to residents and staff alike, and coming away sadly unconvinced that the dehumanising and dangerous practices described above are confined only to US facilities in the recent past. Suffice to say here that there may be other causes besides Covid 19, including a simple desire to depart, that contribute to the passing away of those unfortunate enough to be housed in such places in their twilight years.
Unfortunately we cannot give readers the exact Covid 19 death by age group numbers for Victoria because, oddly enough, we have been unable to find them anywhere in press reports, search engine results or even the Victorian Department of Health's website. In fact, one can get just about any take one wants on the much publicised case number stats, but a simple up to date breakdown of reported deaths by age group is, apparently, not considered pertinent by the Victorian government. Again, make of that what you will.
In any case, in terms of Covid 19 alone, recommendations, testing and suitably alternative living arrangements and/or conditions might be offered to those mostly elderly Victorians and Australians who might most benefit by it, in aged "care" homes and elsewhere for instance, at far less cost to the community than draconian universal lockdowns and attendant welfare handouts, and without denying any of us our basic liberties in the process. Indeed this is so obvious that it simply cannot be overlooked without deliberate effort or obfuscation.
Moreover, people young and old alike are perfectly free to impose upon themselves any kind of restrictions, isolations, distance or apparel they see fit, without insisting that others do the same.

Freedom is not merely a luxury that we can only afford in the present circumstances. Though some may find this difficult to understand, a policy of free choice is always preferable and advisable even if we are all equally vulnerable to bio-threat.

For while the wicked, the misguided and the foolish would translate their own deep-seated dread or terror of death, and the false religion of materialism and chance that engenders it, into an everlasting shackle for all of us, it remains a fact that there is another kind of death in this world (and the next) for those who, in their denial and suppression of death as a fact of life and a part of living, deny also that quality of life that is eternal.
Indeed, the alternative to eternal life has always been more or less a dungeon, and the warden a fiend and a tyrant.

For while the terror, paranoia, panic, hubris and pride of despots and fools, and the atrocities and catastrophes they so often engender, is a phenomenon that has, sadly, been with us from time immemorial (consider Herod's slaughter of boy infants for instance), there is usually (in more recent times especially) an attending cover story to hide the true motivating factors from the people, and perhaps also the perpetrators themselves. As such we are inclined to ask what it is exactly that the latter find so disastrous about the present state of world affairs besides the advertised ones?
Could it be that the real "disaster" for the spiritual and temporal masters of the likes of Andrews, Cuomo and their mainstream media cohorts is the loss of control of the Narrative and Explanations on key issues and in key elements of the Public Mind in recent times? Could this be why we are now being forced to comply and even advertise their soulless and dehumanising world view in the apparel we wear and the way we interact, paying unwitting homage thus to their false gods of fear, guilt, slavery and materialism? Could it be that without brute force and a relentless stream of propaganda, such a view lacks anything more substantial to support it, and always has?
In fact, the devil's spell must be broadcast continually and the God spell forgotten entirely to maintain a society of automatons. This has always been the case, for lies enslave us as sure as truth sets us free. Indeed, a powerful case might be made for unlawful discrimination on religious grounds, specifically Christian ones, with regards to some of the Covid 19 restrictions if one could be assured of a fair and proper hearing, or an intelligent one, all of which are big “ifs” in spiritually vacuous, present day Victorian government departments and courts.

We have discussed previously on this website, in some depth (for example here and here), the collapse in recent times of materialism and scientism as credible or practical world views, the latter in fact having little or nothing to do with real science, and much more to do with what is essentially a belief system or atheistic religion, despite the name and the borrowed jargon in which it couches its scientific pretensions. In fact, die-hard materialists have been scrambling to patch up the intellectual holes in the old paradigm for some time now, weary of the fundamental shift that will deprive them of the basis for their phoney priesthood and perks. Meanwhile we are stuck with the same old sorry gang of politicians and pundits, hopelessly out of touch with the true spirit of the times, and doing their best to lead the unthinking masses up the garden path to tyranny, ignorance and corruption. And when the issue is one of life and death all they have are statistics. Even the so-called "opposition" and "religious".
It may be worth noting at this point, and not impertinent, that both Andrews and Cuomo have something else in common besides looming uncommonly large in the deliberate vandalism of the economies of their respective countries. Both are active and vocal champions of the insidious and specious Jewish victimhood narrative, a fact we have touched upon in previous CG reports. (Click here and here.)
As recently as the end of last February, just before the real onset of Covid 19 hysteria and soon after the publication of the CG February article funny enough, the Andrews government announced a deal stitched up with Jewish property developer billionaire, John Gandel, to force feed the bogus Holocaust narrative to children in Victorian schools.
It was a move that met with tribal approval and congratulations from Australia's Jewish Federal Treasurer, Josh Frydenberg, all the way from the other side of the political fence ostensibly, but actually far beyond the pale of partisan politics truth be told.
Oddly enough, at exactly the same time (the same week no less), and half a world away in New York, Governor Cuomo was busy warning us about the antisemitic “contagion of hate” we need to be looking out for (along with the coronavirus apparently) in the wake of what was almost certainly yet another Jewish false flag. Funny how the dots always seem to connect back to the same issue and the same source.

Could this be a clue as to who exactly is motivating the extreme policies of both Andrews and Cuomo now with regards the novel coronavirus? - a sobering thought indeed when one recalls the warning of Jewish professor, Norman Finkelstein, in his 2000 book, "The Holocaust Industry", about the "moral corruptions" attending "immunity to criticism" that aforementioned victimhood has engendered now for decades worldwide. Or the prophetic warnings of US General George Patton three quarters of a century ago about the Jewish-led bolshevisation of politics, masquerading as “de-nazification” and posing a serious risk to American Liberty. Give me liberty or give me death indeed!

Indeed, if the Australian people were to understand just how specific the target really is, or has been, of some of the resulting and present burdens under which they now strain in the name of "Covid 19" (there have been previous tremors too, including the deliberate sabotage of Telstra, NAB and Westpac in recent times) they would not be able to believe the contempt the psychopaths controlling their governments, puppet "representatives" and financial sector have for the well-being of anyone except themselves. Yet the sheer pettiness of their vindictiveness only serves to highlight the precariousness of their predicament.
And perhaps, too, with the bushfire season returning again soon to haunt hubristic idiots like Disaster Dan Andrews, an individual who has presided over the continual clandestine spraying of Gippsland and other parts of Victoria with incendiary dust as part of massive undeclared geoengineering operations for the better part of seven years, there may well be many in government and behind the scenes who feel in need of a little more than the usual protection and mass distraction in the coming months.
Update February 2021 : The Long Lost Summer That Never Was
Said protection has included one artificially generated (and thoroughly toxic) overcast/cloudy day after another this Victorian Summer season - to keep temperatures down, apocalyptic bushfires at bay and the criminal stupidity and responsibility of policy makers under wraps in the meantime. See our February 2020 article for further explanation and prediction.
Nonetheless, twenty thousand people at least, their brave faces refreshingly free of face masks, and their interaction refreshingly free of distance, gathered together on the streets of Berlin at the beginning of August to protest in the name of "Freiheit" (freedom) and an end to coronavirus tyranny. Then only weeks later, as recently as the end of last month, they rallied more emphatically again.
Much more emphatically.
In fact though it is always difficult to get an accurate assessment from the mainstream media on crowd numbers at events their masters find threatening, and which they are desperately trying to downplay, some of the images coming out of Berlin suggest a truly enormous turnout at the most recent event, with some on the ground estimates as high as 100 thousand [now believed to be closer to a million - Ed.]. In any case (with the exception of controlled opposition “Q” and rainbow flag infiltrators who busied themselves mostly with securing misleading optics for media cameras) they all came together sincerely and with one mind: to put an end to the coronavirus pretext for despotism.
Needless to say it is unlikely if either of the Berlin rallies in August got too much (balanced) TV or press coverage in Victoria where such behaviour has been condescendingly condemned in the prostitute media as "appalling" - a compliment indeed considering the source. (The present writer is currently in Europe.)
Of course, all the usual tactics of media mischaracterisation and false figure-heading are being applied to instances of such resistance both in Australia and abroad. Certainly it is very easy to ridicule apparently isolated individuals who are singled out for media attention, and perhaps also deliberately contrived for the purpose, precisely because they appear to be somewhat muddled about their message or in other ways easily dismissed, but thousands and thousands of protesters with a much better understanding of the basis of their arguments is another matter entirely.
And far more serious. In fact, the numbers are not nearly so important as the understanding.

Indeed, how invigorating it was to see German men breaking through the lines of hired thugs on the steps of the Bundestag – the German Parliament – with shouts of “resistance” and “we are the people” - a timely and heartwarming reminder that real valour is not yet extinct in the West despite the best efforts of the degenerate media to characterise such men as mere infiltrators, while characterising real infiltrators and bandwagon jumpers as genuine participants. Or, again, to invent a false leader and cover story to demean or mischaracterise the true significance of bravery, righteous indignation and anger and thus neutralise it in the minds of those who look on from afar.
It is well to remember that the media choose very carefully the apparently random demonstrators they interview and broadcast.
We further note that the German movement is thriving despite one of its more prominent members reportedly being carted off by Stasi type police thugs to psychiatrists some months ago and despite the Berlin local government doing everything they could to stop the latest mass demonstration in the courts. Then, when that ultimately failed due to sheer people power, the city authorities sent in their army of bullies-for-hire to the German capital anyway to try to disband the enormous crowd almost as soon as it started, all in the name of health of course. In fact, they were not successful in their attempts to crush the spirit of those taking part, despite reportedly making some 300 arrests, young and old alike, and notwithstanding misleading media reports. Moreover, the enemies of free speech and assembly in Berlin had no jurisdiction over similar protests in London, where thousands filled Trafalgar square and marched on Downing street the same day. And still other like-minded protests took place in France and Zurich that weekend.
Again it is laughable to see the media, Youtube and rally infiltrators desperately doing all they can to supply false figureheads like Icke and Corbyn to protests in London and elsewhere in Jewish occupied England (much like Robert Kennedy Jr, alas, in Berlin), with many speakers doing their best to re-direct the anger of demonstrators in directions not so threatening to their masters. Yet to water down the truth is to disempower it and the fact is, sensible people simply aren't listening to these clowns anymore.
Grass roots protests have been popping up all over Europe in recent weeks. And some local politicians too, both in Europe and the US are beginning to add their voice to the growing resistance.

Only the other day, Italian parliamentarian, Vittorio Sgarbi, outlawed the wearing of masks in the town of Sutri north of Rome, where he is also Mayor, citing pre-existing Italian legislation that makes it illegal for people to cover their faces in public for security reasons. “These are ridiculous forms of ostentation that have nothing to do with healthcare needs”, he told reporters, declaring further that face masks were only for "thieves and terrorists", a pertinent observation indeed when one thinks of some of their more outspoken proponents. Of course Antifa has been familiar with the principle for years ....
And across the pond from Europe last month, in California, as many as seven thousand Christians gathered together in defiance of Antichrist laws, to exercise their God given right to worship and fellowship, putting shame to spineless and complicit so-called religious denominations, whose false prophet leaders have caved in to the demands of soulless materialists with barely a whimper. To borrow a phrase from demonstrators in London, they have chosen their side.
These demonstrations and gatherings in the name of truth and freedom are the protests that matter, not the Jewish-funded, race-charged exercises in distraction and divide-and-conquer that, especially when one considers the behaviour of some of the participants, are obviously and shamefully treated with far greater lenience and tolerance by both media and establishment forces alike, a fact that speaks for itself if one is prepared to hear it.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathering today in Melbourne to protest against Andrews government extremism were met with walls of thick-as-a-brick police mercenaries, some on horseback.
The police were there, of course, for the sole purpose of denying demonstrators the right to free assembly on the specious grounds of protecting public safety.
As is to be expected, the mainstream media was also out in force, wielding its chief propaganda weapons of guilt and Orwellian mischaracterisation.
For example, demonstrators, we are told, were "terrorising the police", not the other way around, which was in any case, clearly the case. Never mind that the media version makes no sense. After all, if the police are really so concerned about being "terrorised" then why not just stay away? Who invited them anyway? I mean, really, who is the aggressor here?
In fact, the media copy is so divorced from reality and unbalanced, that it may as well have been written beforehand, and probably was.
Earlier in the week some of the alleged organisers of the protests on social media were reportedly met with the most reprehensible strong-arm/intimidation tactics imaginable, by state police who, apparently, raided their homes, arrested them and dragged them away for more bullying and interrogation. Ah Victoria! The police state ....
Yet, as the world looks on, all the media and police rhetoric in the world will not succeed in hiding from anyone but the complicit, the ignorant and the stupid, the obviously despotic and disgraceful nature of the Andrews' government response to legitimate democratic dissidence and grievance.

Though, alas, the Great Southern Land may still be a "prisoner island" for all intents and purposes (albeit a more gilded one in recent times), and still more or less an outpost colony too truth be told, at least in the minds of the tyrants who would rule over it, and their mercenaries, we can take courage from the fact that it is not any more impervious to seismic shifts in human group consciousness than anywhere else.
Of course controlled opposition elements of the media (mostly Murdoch's mob) are playing up Andrews' ties to China to the hilt, but rest assured that Victoria's domestic policies are far likelier to be meeting with approval in Toorak than Beijing, while the only real opposition to them must come intelligently from the people themselves.
What then is intelligent opposition but that which is rooted in the God spell and Logos mind, which is Christ.

Indeed, in Victoria, New York, Europe and elsewhere in the Western world where the Enemy has managed to cut so many of us off from our ability to think and learn properly and independently (Logos) with the age old snares of blind emotionalism (Pathos) and blind faith in the latest, repackaged variety of institutionalised witch-doctors and priests, and celebrated idols (Ethos), people are getting a hard lesson in the fact that there is no real life or liberty apart from Christ and never will be.

We note with sadness the passing at the end of June this year of Australian scholar, Dr. Frederick Toben, a man of courage, integrity and principle, and a true gentleman. He was 76 years old.
Based online in the picturesque Australian city of Adelaide, but hailing from Victoria, this former high school teacher, university lecturer, international speaker and author was for decades a prominent voice for Holocaust revisionism worldwide and a thorn in the side of enemies of free speech and open debate the world over. The late and great revisionist, French-Scottish Professor Robert Faurisson, ranked among his mentors.
And like many of the more effective revisionists worldwide he served time in prison, not only in occupied Germany, where speaking the truth about the bogus Holocaust narrative is a crime, but also in his own country of Australia where he was convicted of contempt of court as a result of specious though well-funded efforts to suppress his website.
Of course, he also paid the full financial and social penalties for his unwavering stance.
He dies a martyr to sound Western principles of philosophical inquiry.
